About the workshop:

In this 90-minute practical workshop, trainers Sophie Thomas, Matt Dale and Joshua Peters will be taking you through everything you need to know about the squat and the deadlift, and how to make the most of them according to your specific fitness goal.

We'll also be covering hip mobility drills to improve your range of motion, muscle activation drills and exercise variations.

This is a fun workshop that's appropriate for all training levels. Whether you want to brush up on your technique or consider yourself a complete beginner, we'd love to have you with us.

About the trainers

Sophie Thomas

Feeling healthy and fit should be accessible to everyone. In my eyes, it creates the foundation to a happier life outside of the gym. The skills and habits developed from following a training programme and adopting a healthy lifestyle often transfer into everyday life so that we can become better people overall.

I work with my clients taking this in mind; I adopt a science and evidence-based stance to create bespoke programmes for their individual lifestyles, making their fitness goals work with them rather than against them.


Joshua Peters

I firmly believe that having a healthy body is fundamental to living a happy fulfilling life. Making sustainable changes can take us down a difficult and meandering path and I would be delighted to guide you every step of the way.

With so much misleading information currently available to us, creating a solid training and nutrition plan for you will be at the forefront of my work. Challenging present habits and adopting new lifestyle changes are key to achieving the physique we desire.


Matt Dale

As a Personal Trainer, regular guy, family man and recent new Dad, I have a passion for working with a broad range of clients, male, female, older and younger and from many walks of life.

I help and re-educate my clients how to more effectively, introducing exercise and nutritional behaviours into day-to-day life to promote longer-term independence, resilience and an overall better quality of life.
