About the workshop:

Anyone looking to get better at bodyweight exercises, we’ve adapted everything in this workshop to cater to any level so that everyone can enjoy calisthenics.

Being able to control your own body and utilise bodyweight training to its fullest can be so enjoyable and build lots of body confidence. Often we see amazing calisthenics movements and impressive gymnastics exercises being performed with ease and despite being left with a sense of awe, we have no idea how to achieve them or a sense that they are even possible!

This workshop shows you how there is a logical process behind every exercise, not matter how impossible they may seem. We know that following a logical process that actually makes these exercises feel attainable can be hugely rewarding and a lot of fun, so this workshop contains a lot of play as we believe that is so important, particularly when it comes to motivating yourself to go and try these exercises out on your own after the workshop.

You’ll learn how to break down 3 fundamental calisthenics movements - the handstand, the planche and the front lever, into their component parts, then find variations that teach you how to build your bodies’ abilities up to a level in order to achieve exercises you never imagined being able to do.

This workshop is 90 minutes of practical coaching on the gym floor, we keep the content flexible enough to match your level so you take lots away from the session. This flexibility means we can always show you ways of progressing your skills, so don’t worry if you feel like this may be too easy or too hard for you, we pride ourselves on finding exercises and techniques that match where you are currently and then support you to take things to the next level.

We do spend some time talking through some exercises and you get plenty of time to practice at your own speed.

We also have a few minutes at the end of every workshop in case you have any questions about the workshop or your own training.

We try to make our workshops friendly and inclusive, we like to chat to everyone to find out how we can help you individually. As we’re personal trainers during the week, we believe that bespoke advice is the best advice so we try to bring that into our workshops.

Expect to go away feeling inspired, full of ideas and new exercises to try straight away in your next gym session or at home!
